This spacious ground floor apartment is conveniently situated in Edinburgh’s West End – ideally located for those arriving in Edinburgh by train or tram (alight at Haymarket) or coming by air. The Dalry Gait development is based round a converted distillery (look for the landmark chimney!) and provides excellent modern accommodation with private off street parking. Drivers can be provided with a permit to park here on request – a real boon in Edinburgh. Should you wish to leave your car here to explore Edinburgh on foot you’ll have no problem with traffic wardens! Excellent bus services run close to the apartment and you are with in easy walking distance of the west end of Princes Street.

There are a variety of good restaurants (including Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Italian, a Steakhouse a Bistro and Scottish) within a couple of minute’s walk of the apartment. Other local facilities include a large supermarket and plenty of smaller shops including a chemist, post office, dry cleaners and an internet cafĂ©.

This generously proportioned apartment can accommodate parties of up to eight. It has two large bedrooms. The master bedroom, which is furnished with a King sized bed, also provides plenty of space to erect a cot or a camp bed for a child. It has a stylish, newly renovated, en-suite granite shower room, with toilet and wash hand basin. The second bedroom houses 2 sets of bunk beds, providing excellent family accommodation. A second bathroom provides a bath and shower over plus toilet and basin.

The newly installed, well equipped, kitchen has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and separate tumble dryer, cooker and microwave as well as a good range of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils should you wish to spend an evening in. It opens onto the large living/dining room, which is furnished with comfort in mind with large comfortable sofas (one is a double sofa bed), chairs and a 42” flat screen TV with BT vision, Sky Sports, DVD and CD player. The apartment also has the benefit of internet access should you require it.

    I stayed in the apartment with 6 friends and was very happy with the overall experience. The apartment is within a few minutes walk of haymarket train station but is only 15 minutes walk from princes street also. There are also shops close by including a large supermarket. Within the apartment we found great facilities and everything you could want when staying for a few days. The apartment was very clean and the only issue we had was with the television which struggled with the signal but we weren’t in the apartment for long so this wasn’t a major issue. I would definitely stay again due to the cost being so low and the location is very good provided and taxi’s come very quickly if you book
