422 – Murrayfield Apartment – Corstorphine Road
This spacious and elegant first floor apartment, sleeping 5 guests, is part of a pretty Victorian villa set back from the road and overlooking Murrayfield Stadium. The apartment has the benefit of a designated off road parking space. It makes ideal family holiday accommodation; consider a visit to Edinburgh zoo, or Gorgie city farm. A walk up Corstorphine hill offers great views and plenty of space for children to play. The Water of Leith Walkway can be accessed close by at Roseburn offering the energetic the opportunity to walk to the Dean Gallery or further afield. The West End of Princes Street is 1.5 miles away, an easy 30 minute walk, but if you prefer there are very good bus and tram links into the city which will have you in the city centre in 10 minutes. There is also good access to routes heading out of the city for those wishing to spend time exploring more of Scotland. Keen golfers will find a range of golf courses close by including those at Murrayfield, Ravelston and the Royal Burgess.
An exterior flight of steps leads to the front door to the apartment and once inside a short flight of carpeted stairs leads you up into the spacious hallway. In front of you and to your right is the very attractive living room offering period features and comfortably furnished with chesterfield sofas arranged around a modern fire place. The room has a large bay window, with views over to Murrayfield, and is furnished with a large dining table and 6 chairs – a nice spot in which to relax and have a meal together.
To the left of the living room is the well equipped kitchen which also has a kitchen table with seating for 6 people. The kitchen is equipped with oven and hob, microwave, magi-mix, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine.
The lovely, light master bedroom which is situated peacefully to the rear of the building overlooks the garden belonging to the flat below. It is furnished with a King sized bed, bed side tables with lamps and has plenty of hanging space.
The good-sized second bedroom to the front of the building has twin beds and also offers plenty of storage space with a mirrored wardrobe and bed side tables.
A third bedroom/study area has a daybed which pulls out to make a small double bed.
A family bathroom with separate shower cabinet, bath, toilet and wash had basin completes the accommodation.
