331 Brandon Street Apartment

This Charming apartment sleeping up to 4 guests is located in Edinburgh’s Georgian New town only 10 minutes walk from Princes Street and with a good selection of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops including a Tesco’s supermarket, within a few minutes walk. The Water of Leith walk way is easily accessible from close by the apartment and offers lovely waterside walks through the city, or you might like to visit the newly refurbished Victorian Glenogle swim centre and Gym, which is also on your door step.

The apartment is situated on the second floor of the building and the front door leads into a hallway off which all the rooms radiate. The accommodation is laid out as follows; a spacious living room is situated to the rear of the apartment and affords pretty views over leafy green gardens. The room retains many of its original features including the attractive cornicing and fireplace. The owners have arranged a comfortable sofa and sofa bed (for flexibility of accommodation) around the fire place and the rest of the furnishings show an eclectic mix of styles with a Japanese influence. A black lacquer dining table and chairs provides seating for 4 people should you wish to dine at home and there is a TV with DVD player and free view plus WiFi internet access supplied for your entertainment.

A newly installed internal kitchen with overhead skylight is fully equipped with oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is plenty of china, glass, cutlery and cookware supplied for the use of guests.

The Master bedroom is very welcoming; with a pretty open fire place and coombed ceilings, it is furnished with a cream double iron bedstead, cast iron chandelier and free-standing cream wardrobe.

A bright and airy second bedroom has twin beds which can be made up as a super king on request.

The tiled bathroom is very generously proportioned with a large window over looking the gardens to the rear of the apartment; it has a Victorian roll top bath as well as a shower cabinet and a basin. A separate Loo completes the accommodation.

We have stayed twice now and we love this flat – full of character, comfortable, and very good value to be so well placed for the New Town and Stockbridge. If I had any quibbles it would be 1) that a slightly smaller dining table in the sitting area would be good – you can’t really sit at it without pulling it out and it’s quite heavy and 2) the hot water tap for the bath is a bit temperamental – if you run it too fast the water goes tepid. But these are minor things and we will definitely be back, I’m sure

This apartment is in a great location, within walking distance of the main tourist spots. There are great restaurants close by, plus a small supermarket and grocery shop.
The apartment itself is clean, bright and well equipped. Great bathroom and plenty of hot water.
Downside is the lack of decent curtains/blinds in the bedrooms, sun shining in very early in the morning. There are curtains but they need blackout linings. A great place to stay , highly recommended

Beautifully bright and airy flat. I have stayed here twice and really enjoy the central location with easy access to both city and countryside. I love coming out of the front door and having a view of the Firth. I stayed during one cold spell and the flat was lovely and warm. Had a bit of a battle with the shower screen each time and never managed to work out the T.V. (despite a very patient explanation from the lady who gave us the flat key). However, it was so pleasant to sit in the comfortable sitting room and catch up with Scottish family and friends and there is so much to do in and around Edinburgh that I could live without T.V. I have had two very happy and enjoyable stays in the Brandon Street flat.

Beautifully light and airy. I have stayed at this apartment twice and love the central location to both the city and the countryside. Have a bit of a battle with the shower screen and haven’t worked out the T.V. yet despite the very patient explanation from the lady who let us into the flat and the instructions in the booklet. However, there is so much to do in Edinburgh that I can easily give T.V. a miss. I love coming out of the front door and looking down towards the Firth. Both buses and taxis are very accessible. I enjoy entertaining my Scottish family and friends here.

The booking staff where really helpful and responded promptly to emails and had helpful suggestions.

Location in New Town is handy to everything 30 minute walk to the Old Town and bus route is right out door. Close to grocery and bank machine.

Apartment is clean, fairly quite at night and is a comfortable size for 4. Great equipped kitchen with dishwasher.

Only complaint is the double bed is pretty hard and the pillows are old and flat.

Other than that we enjoyed out stay and would recommend this apartment and company and would use them again.

Good location and space. Could sleep six if desperate.
However, front door needs a wash and new doorknob
Common parts need cleaning and the flat still needs paint and cracks filled.
Curtains need blackout linings. We had a lovely stay

Stayed at this apartment in August 2014 and we have also stayed here previously. Well located, quiet area. Within walkable distance to the city centre and many other areas.
Flat spacious, modern, comfortable. Bit of a refresh, lick of paint needed in some areas, and oven door needed replacing. We were told this was planned. Love Edinburgh, good central place to stay to enjoy the sites!

Spacious, comfortable apartment. Well-equipped kitchen. Excellent location close to city centre yet quiet.
Decor could do with a refresh, which we were told is planned.

We had a family reunion in Edinburgh and rented this flat end of September for a weeks stay. it is a lovely place very quiet and well situated. 15 min walk to the Royal Mile, Train station or down town. Several buses stop nearby. you can walk to the botanical garden, the Leigh walk and there are several great restaurants just around the corner.
Our kettle broke while we were renting and it got replace the same day. Great service by the agency. We definitely would stay here again.
